Chilli, a 5 days old female grey seal pup, was rescued from St Ives Bay on 8th September 2022 by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) marine mammal medics.
After 24 hours of observations on the beach by the BDMLR medics and no sign of mum, the pup was transferred to the seal hospital at Gweek. She had some bite wounds around her eyes but luckily the eyes themselves were not damaged. Chilli was underweight, exhausted and very frightened.
