Celia Imrie was rescued on 3rd November 2023

Celia Imrie, a 3 weeks old female grey seal pup, was rescued on 3rd of November 2023 from Perranuthnoe by volunteer marine mammals medics, Kirk and Peter, from the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR).

On arrival café staff directed Kirk and Peter to the pup, stating that dogs had been bothering her and she had wounds on her back.   The pup had situated herself amongst some rocks and appeared calm but alert and aware of her surroundings.   There were a fair number of members of the public and dogs but all a good distance away. She was underweight and malnourished for her age at 13kg with a high temperature of 38 degrees.   The medics contacted the BDMLR´s area coordinator and a decision was made to relay the pup to the Cornish Seal Sanctuary´s hospital for care, treatment and rehabilitation.

Her flipper ID tag number is SL262 (yellow).
