Captain James Hook was rescued on 25th January 2020
Captain Hook, 8 weeks old male grey seal pup, was rescued on 25th January 2020 from Cot Valley in St Just by Delia and Francesca, members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) Medics.

This little chap was found in a tricky spot between boulders. He has an ulcerated eye and underweight for his age. Weighed 19kgs.

Update - 1st February 2020 : Captain Hook is currently in hospital pen number 4. His pool is empty at the moment of water as he is having eye drops. Once he is off the treatment and eating in water, he will be moved to the outside nursery pools for his next stage of rehabilitation. Currently weighs 17kgs.

Captain James Hook Update - 24th February 2020 : Captain Hook has been moved down from the hospital to the outside nursery pool number 1 on 21st February 2020 for his next stage of rehabilitation.

Here is Captain Hook (left) meeting his new pool friend, Father Christmas (right), for the first time.

Seal Pups release - 1st April 2020 Update - 2nd April 2020 : Captain Hook along with Willy Wonka, Elmer and Frida were released back into the wild on 1st April 2020 at Dollar Cove.
