Alice was rescued on 23rd December 2019
Alice in Wonderland, 8 weeks old female grey seal pup, was rescued on 23rd December 2019 from Port Isaac by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) Medics.

This pup was taken to one of BDMLR´s holding facilities until a hospital pen became available on 27th December 2019 at Gweek.

She was found underweight and malnourished for her age. Also a slight URT infection and scuffs to her flippers.

Alice in Wonderland - photo taken on 28th December 2019 Update - 31st December 2019 : Alice in Wonderland is currently in the hospital´s isolation pen number 1. She currently weighs 13kgs.

Update - 1st February 2020 : Alice is now in the outside rehab pool with other rescued seal pups, she needs to put on a few more kilos to reach her target weight, currently weighs 25.5kgs.

Flipper tag ID number is SL137 (yellow).

Alice in Wonderland Update - 23rd February 2020 : Alice has now completed her rehabilitation and is ready to be returned to the wild soon. She currently weighs 30kgs.

Update - 6th March 2020 : Alice in Wonderland along with Piglet, Elf, Pippi Longstocking, Lisbeth, Stig and Horrid Henry, have completed their rehabilitation and were released back into the wild on 2nd March 2020 at Dollar Cove.
