Hooch was rescued on 3rd December 2009
We received a call on 3rd December 2009 about a pup from Marazion which was found on the beach very dehydrated with multiple puncture wound and ruckly breathing weighing only 12.5 kilos.

It was important to get this seal pup back to the Sanctuary to start treatment, she is now in isolation 1 and doing well. This seal pup has been named Hooch.
Update: 21st December 2009 - Hooch is now in pen number one in the main hospital, she is now off medication and eye is all better.
Hooch Update: 2nd January 2010 - Hooch has been moved down from the hospital to the outside nursery pool 2 and is doing well. Her flipper tag number is 18 (light blue).

Update: 22nd March 2010 - Hooch along with SMRU and Beedle were released back
into the wild on 5th March 2010 at Gwithian.
