| Update 15th October 2004 |
| Magnus Magnus is feeding very well and preparing for breeding season. Sheba and Marlin Sheba and Marlin are still in love, both are not feeding on a regular basis – other things on their minds. Lizzie Lizzie is very attentive to the Animal Care Team at the moment waiting very patiently for her fish. Anneka (Hattie) Anneka had great fun this week chasing the Animal Care Team around the pool as they took down the summer shading from the nursery pools. Fatima Fatima has developed some spots on her back which the Animal Care Team are monitoring closely. She is also enjoying her fish at the moment but this week is preferring to eat alone. Ray Ray is growing more hair everyday but he still missing some furry boots! Flotsam and Jetsam Training is going well and Flot and Jet’s appetites have increased and they can be seen chasing the Animal Care Team whenever they see them walking past their pool – hoping for more fish! Flipper and Yulelog Flipper and Yulelog have started their annual battle for king of the pool as breeding season approaches. Flipper prefers not to do his training at the moment, enjoying his fish from the comfort of the deep pool, whereas Logs has turned out to be somewhat of a show off and is amazing us all with his new found enthusiasm for his training. Rocky and Pepper This week Rocky has been very attentive to his pool partner with lots of nuzzling being seen. Carus and Serendipity This week Carus and Dips have started their second breeding season of the year, and for once Carus is more concerned about Dips than his bucket of fish. Bamboo and Thai The Animal Care Team have cleaned out their pool as it was full of leaves and Bamboo appeared to be to scared to go for a swim as he could no longer see the bottom of his pool! Bracken and Tuppence Bracken and Tuppence have once again managed to break through their paddock fencing to gauge themselves in their winter paddock. The Animal Care Team have had to be very inventive with their fencing skills to ensure Bracken and Tuppence do not get up to their sneaky tricks again. Bracken was most put out when he found his fence to be fixed and was seen pushing against the new fence in frustration. Goats Goats have been hiding away from the horrible weather and hate getting their newly trimmed feet wet. Site News Pup Rescues Roskilly and Trent have been taken off treatment after their second bloods were found to be clear and both have now been wormed. They have been moved into a pool together to encourage Trent to start feeding himself but at the moment Roskilly is eating every fish in sight and piling on the pounds! Itchen has now been moved into the hospital to a larger pen and is feeding himself and getting bigger every week, he too has been wormed. Arrow and Red have been introduced to fish and have almost lost their white fluffy coats. Both are feeding well and Red has started to pick fish up off the floor for herself. |
