Dash rescued on 24th December 2010
Dash, a 12 week old male seal pup, was rescued on 24th December 2010 from Newlyn by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue team.
The pup was found to have nasal discharge and laboured breathing. Dash weighed 20kg upon arrival at the hospital and was prescribed noroclav, bisolvon, carprodyl, multi-vitamins and iron tablets.

Update: 28th December 2010 - Dash is still snuffly but is breathing well and quite lively. He is now learning to feed. When he is confident at catching fish we will introduce him to other seals. Dash is currently in the main hospital. Dash's flipper tag number is 27(white).

Seal Release Update: 8th February 2011 - Dash is back in the hospital due to an eye problem but should be cleared up in the next few weeks.

Update: 10th April 2011 - Dash along with Hopper, Splash and Petunia were released back into the wild on 7th April 2011.
