Splash rescued on 28th November 2010
Splash was rescued by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) team on 28th November 2010 from the beach at Holywell Bay. The pup was found to be moulted, malnourished and weighed 17kg with minor injuries.

Update: 23rd December 2010 - Splash is currently in the main hospital pen number 4.

Update: 1st January 2011 - Photo right of Splash was taken in the nursery pool on 29th December 2010 and currently weighs 21kg.     Click here to see further photos.

Seal Release Update: 8th February 2011 - Splash currently weighs 23 kilos and is in the convalescent pool.

Update: 4th March 2011 - Splash is doing well and putting on weight.

Update: 10th April 2011 - Splash along with Hopper, Dash and Petunia were released back into the wild on 7th April 2011.
Update: 30th May 2012 - Splash has been spotted in the wild at a local haul-out along the north coast of Cornwall on 26th May 2012 by members of the Cornwall Seal Group who identifies, monitors and watches over the seals around the Cornish coast.
