Snoopy arrived at the Sanctuary on the 26th October 2004. The Sanctuary was contacted by the Keepers of Whipsnade Wild Animal Park after Snoopy´s companion died earlier that year, with hope of providing a home for her.
Patrick, Miniature South Downs Sheep, came to the Sanctuary in 2010.
Sunny, a Californian Sea Lion, was born at Wuppertal Zoo in Germany on 27th June 2012.
Bluebell was the youngest of all the sheep and came to the Sanctuary with her mum Bella at a
cuddly three weeks old in 2009.
Stanley passed away on 1st May 2019.
Godfrey, Humboldt Penguin, passed away in 2018.
Reef, male feral cat, decided to join the Sanctuary in June 2006. He was much loved by the staff and visitors.
Bella was a Suffolk Ewe.
Lizzie, Female Grey Seal, has passed away on 21st March 2017, she was 41 years old.
Flipper, Male Grey Seal, has passed away on 23rd February 2017, he was 36 years old.
Anneka, Female Grey Seal, has passed away in May 2015.
Fatima, Female Grey Seal, has sadly passed away on 9th April 2015.
Andrew, Pymgy Goat, has sadly passed away in early 2014.
Staff at the Cornish Seal Sanctuary have been devastated by the sudden death of resident fur seal Chaff on 17th October 2013.
It is with great sadness that the Cornish Seal Sanctuary announced the passing of their elderly fur seal Andy on 9th September 2013.
Barney, a male Humboldt penguin, sadly passed away in June 2012.
Monty sadly passed away on Tuesday 12th October 2010. Monty had been at the Sanctuary for 13 years.
Priscilla, a Pygmy Goat, has sadly passed away in August 2010.
Sahara, our Hooded Seal, has passed away on 8th April 2010. He was only 4 years old but had probably travelled more miles on more modes of transport then any seal we´ll ever know!
Sadly on the 1st April 2009, our beloved Rocky passed away peacefully in his sleep.
Since his arrival at the Sanctuary in the early nineties Rocky had been one of the Sanctuary´s most popular residents.
Churchill was diagnosed with a tumor a few months ago, but always showed a zest for life and lived up to his bossy nature. Unfortunately Churchill´s health declined and he sadly passed away on 14th January 2009.
Elvis, a Pygmy Goat, passed away on 9th December 2008. His arthritis had been playing up and the cold mornings had made it harder for him to get out of bed.
Bamboo, Asian Short-clawed Otter, had suffered from epilepsy, and although not severe, the number of epileptic fits he had experienced had begun to increase over the course of the year.
Magnus passed away on 27th August 2008; he was the World´s Oldest Grey Seal and in January 2008 celebrated his 40th birthday. Magnus was given a home at the Sanctuary in 1990.
Mika, a South African Cape Fur Seal, passed away sometime on the 3rd April 2008. She was born in April 2003 at Coombe Martin Wildlife Park in Devon.
Carus, a Patagonian Sea Lion, passed away on 28th January 2008. Gentle giant Carus, who weighed a staggering 52 stone, had seemed initially to be recovering well from a tricky ´prolapse´ operation.
Pepper, a California Sea Lion, died on 2nd January 2007. Originally part of a trio of performing sea lions at the Cape Cod Aquarium in the USA, Pepper arrived at the Seal Sanctuary in 1992.
Sophie, a Grey Seal, passed away in 2006. She had been a popular resident at Yafford Mill tourist attraction, Newport for the past twenty-five years.
Serendipity, a Patagonian Sea Lion, passed away on 2nd of March 2006. Serendipity who was born in 1981 was moved to the Sanctuary in 1989.
Thomas, our resident Cat, passed away at the beginning of April 2005.
Twiggy, a Grey Seal, passed away on 25th April 2003. Twiggy´s early life was a tragic tale of abuse. Originally taken as a pup into a traveling circus, Twiggy was retained by the owner of the circus after it disbanded.
Ming, a Grey Seal, passed away on 14th of October 2002. Ming stood out from the other seals, because of his beautiful coat. He had been unwell for a few weeks and he had a heart attack.
Honey, a Grey Seal, passed away on 5th April 2001. She was one of the earliest pups rescued at the Gweek Sanctuary in the 1970s. Honey had come into contact with some sort of chemical pollutant out in the wild.
Paula, a Grey Seal, who was 24 years of age died on 6th of February 2001. She was rescued by the RSPCA in October 1997. When Paula arrived at the sanctuary, she was so thin, weighing only 60kgs.
Scooby, a Grey Seal, passed away in 2000; he died of natural causes after a long and happy life at the sanctuary, where he was a real character.
