Location of Rescue : Parsons Cove, Helford

Age at Rescue : ~4/5 weeks old

Weight at Rescue : 20kgs

Reason for Rescue : She had minor wounds, was very tired and dehydrated and an ulcer in one eye.

Lyra The pup was rescued from Parsons Cove, Helford by Jess, a member of the Animal Care Team, and one of the volunteers. Some very kind members of the public helped to carry the pup back to the Land Rover vehicle. It was quite trek!

Upon arrival at the Seal Sanctuary´s hospital, she was put into isolation pen number 1 where a full clinical assessment was carried out by members of the Animal Care Team. She has been named Lyra.

Update - 20th April 2014 : Lyra (photo right) and Armstrong were released back into the wild on 17th April 2014 at Gunwalloe Dollar Cove.

Armstrong went first and went off quite quickly, Lyra was a bit slow and hung around in the shallows for a while, but eventually made it out!
