Sheep was rescued on 22nd September 2016
Sheep, 2 weeks old male whitecoat seal pup, was rescued on 22nd September 2016 from Praa Sands by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) team.

The pup had been monitored for many hours by members of the public and the BDMLR team, found to be alone on the beach with no sign of mum and looked malnourished.

Sheep Update - 2nd October 2016 : Sheep is doing well in the hospital, he is being fattened up and learning how to swim and eat fish in the water. As soon as this pup is big and healthy enough, he will be moved to the outside pool for the next stage of the rehabilitation. He currently weighs 14kgs.

Update - 20th November 2016 : Sheep was moved down to the outside nursery pool on 25th October 2016, he is sharing this pool with another rescued seal pup named Merlin.

Sheep´s flipper tag number is 304 (white).

Sheep Update - 1st January 2017 : Sheep is currently in the convalescent pool and has completed his rehabilitation and will be returned to the wild in the next month or so.

Update - 1st March 2017 : Sheep has completed his rehabilitation and will be released back to the wild very soon once the weather has improved.
Update - 31st March 2017 : Sheep along with Otter, Pigs in Blankets, Limpet, Cheetah and Gannet were all released back to the wild at Gunwalloe beach on 23rd March 2017. Seal Release - 23rd March 2017
