Providence was rescued on 8th November 2017
Providence, 5-6 weeks old male seal pup, was rescued on 8th November 2017 from Constantine, Padstow.

Providence is one of the smallest pups to arrive at the seal hospital this 2017/18 rescue season. Weighed 11kgs. The pup was quite bright on arrival and very hungry! He went downhill the next day with cold temperatures and not keeping the fish down.

Update - 13th November 2017 : Providence needs a lot of fluids, glucose and night feeds with the Animal Care Team are working hard to make him feel better.
Update - 7th December 2017 : Providence has been moved down to the outside nursery pool to learn how to compete for fish with other rescued seal pups during feeding time.
Providence on 30th December 2017 Update - 1st January 2018 : Providence is currently in the convalescent pool for his final stage of rehabilitation before he is released back into the wild soon.

Providence´s flipper ID tag number is 327 (green).

Providence along with Elijah, Carylon, Holywell, Kynance and Harmony, were released back into the wild on 28th March 2018 at Dollar Cove.
