Pigs in Blanket was rescued on 4th Decmmber 2016
Pigs in Blanket, 6-8 weeks old female grey seal pup, was rescued on 4th December 2016 from Towan beach in Newquay by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) team.

She was found to be malmourished. The pup was transported back to the seal hospital for rehabilitation.

Pigs in Blanket Update - 1st January 2017 : The pup has been moved down from the hospital where she had received treatment. She is gaining weight and learning how to compete for fish with other rescued seal pups in the nursery pool before moving to the convalescent pool for her final stage of rehabilitation.

Her flipper tag number is 316 (white).

Update - 1st March 2017 : This pup is currently in the convalescent pool and will be released back into the during the next month or so.

Update - 31st March 2017 : Pigs in Blankets along with Otter, Sheep, Limpet, Cheetah and Gannet were all released back to the wild at Gunwalloe beach on 23rd March 2017.
