Legolas was rescued on 21st April 2018
Legolas, male seal pup, was rescued on 21st April 2018 from Porthreath by Lesley and Dave Jarvis, members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR). He had a high temperature and an upset tummy.

This is in fact the second time Legolas has been rescued. On the 27th October 2017, he had been seen on a beach at Co. Clare and taken to the Seal Rescue Centre in Ireland where he received treatment.
Legolas Once released back into the wild on the 28th January 2018, he had at some point made his way down to Cornwall.

The pup needs to stay in the hospital for a little while to carry on his course of treatment and build up his muscles to then move down to the outside nursery pools.
Legolas´s flipper ID tag number is H-045 (blue).

Seal Release 25th May 2018 Update - 29th May 2018 : Legolas along with Charles, Damzel, Marigold and Maude, were released back into the wild on 25th May 2018 at Dollar Cove.
