Elizabeth (Kitty) was rescued on 10th September 2017
Elizabeth (Kitty), 3-4 days old whitecoat female pup, was rescued on 10th September 2017 by Michelle and Simon, members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) team on 3rd September 2017 from the harbour at Boscastle. This pup was malnourished and separated from her mother. Weighed 12kgs.

The pup had been found by a member of the public on the slip way. The lady stayed with the pup for nearly 2 hours until Michelle and Simon arrived.

The pup was transported by the BDMLR to the Seal Hospital at Gweek.
Elizabeth (left) Jewell (right) Update - 2nd October 2017 : Elizabeth was moved to the outside nursery pool from the seal hospital on 1st October 2017 for her next stage of rehabilitation and to learn how to compete for fish.

She is currently sharing the nursery pool with another rescued seal pup named Jewell.

Elizabeth´s flipper tag number is 304 (green).

Update - 22nd October 2017 : Elizabeth was moved into the convalescent pool on 10th October 2017 and gaining weight well.
Update - 20th December 2017 : Elizabeth along with Prudie, Dwight, Drake, Rosie, Jewell and Neptune were released back into the wild at Porthtowan on 18th December 2017.
Elizabeth Update - 9th January 2019 : Elizabeth was spotted at haul-out along the west coast of Cornwall by members of the Cornwall Seal Group Research Trust* on 26th April 2018, 12th November 2018 and 20th December 2018.

*Members of the Cornwall Seal Group Research Trust volunteer hundreds of hours of their own time to photo, survey, identify and watch over the seals around the Cornish coast.
