Isabel was rescued on 17th December 2017
Isabel, 9 weeks old female seal pup, was rescued on 17th December 2017 from Porthmeor beach in St Ives.

This pup was found with wounds to her body.

Photo right was taken in the hospital isolation pen on 27th December 2017. She weighed 20kgs.

Isabel on 31st December 2017 in the outside nursery pool Update - 1st January 2018 : Isabel was moved to the outside nursery pool number 2 on 31st December 2017 for her next stage of rehabilitation and to learn how to compete for fish during feeding time.

Isabel´s flipper tag number is 341 (green).
Update - 12th February 2018 : Isabel was given antibiotics for the first few weeks in the hospital after having multiple punctures to her flippers. Unfortunately she has had a respiratory infection and an abscess which requires more treatment.

Update - 25th February 2018 : Isabel is now in the convalescent pool.

Isabel on 26th March 2018 Update - 28th March 2018 : Isabel is currently in the convalescent pool and will be released back to the wild in the next month or so.

Update - 29th April 2018 : Isabel along with Valentine, Basset, Towan, Hugh and Leon, were released back into the wild on 23rd April 2018 at Porthtowan beach.
