Honey Badger was rescued on 21st September 2016
Honey Badger, 3 weeks old female seal pup, was rescued on 21st September 2016 from Portreath beach.

The pup was found to be very underweight with a swollen umbilicus.

Honey Badger Update - 2nd October 2016 : Honey Badger is still in the hospital and learning to feed for herself. She currently weighs 14kgs.

As soon as this pup is big and healthy enough, she will be moved to the outside pool for the next stage of the rehabilitation.

This photo left and above of Honey Badger were taken on 30th September 2016 in the hospital.
Update - 20th November 2016 : Honey Badger is now in the convalescent pool for her final stage of rehabilitation and to learn how to compete for fish during feeding time with the other rescued seal pups and resident seals.

Honey Badger´s flipper tag number is 302 (white).

Honey Badger Update - 1st January 2017 : Honey Badger is currently in the convalescent pool and will be returned to the wild in the next month.

Update - 7th January 2017 : Honey Badger along with Platypus, Giraffe, Panther, Tiger and Grizzly Bear were returned to the wild at Gwithian on 6th January 2017.
