Holywell was rescued on 4th December 2017
Holywell, 9 weeks old female seal pup, was rescued on 4th December 2017 from Kynance Cove.

This pup was malnourished, superficial wounds and public disturbance on the beach. The vet prescribed antibiotics for her wounds.

Update - 14th December 2017 : The Animal Care team have noticed a small abscess on Holywell´s underside which the vet is aware of and treating with medication.
Holywell Update - 31st December 2017 : Holywell is currently in the outside nursery pools for her next stage of rehabilitation and to learn how to compete for fish with other rescued seal pups during feeding time.

Holywell´s flipper ID tag number is 335 (green).

Update - 25th February 2018 : Holywell is currently in the rehab pool.

Hollywell Update - 27th March 2018 : Holywell is still in the rehab pool. She weighed 31kgs on 20th March 2018.

Update - 29th March 2018 : Holywell along with Harmony, Carylon, Elijah, Kynance and Providence, were released back into the wild on 28th March 2018 at Dollar Cove.
Update - 11th April 2018 : Holywell was sighted at a haul-out along the West coast of Cornwall by members of the Cornwall Seal Group Research Trust* on 9th April 2018.


*Members of the Cornwall Seal Group Research Trust volunteer hundreds of hours of their own time to photo, survey, identify and watch over the seals around the Cornish coast.
