Drake was rescued on 7th September 2017
Drake, 3 days old whitecoat male pup, was rescued on 7th September 2017 from Strangles, Crackington by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) team.

This pup had been monitored for several hours to check to see whether there was a mother returning to feed him but unfortunately no mother was observed.

Drake The pup was transported to the Cornish Seal Sanctuary for care and rehabilitation. Upon arrival at the seal hospital, the pup weighed 12kgs.
Update - 8th October 2017 : This photo of Drake was taken on 6th October 2017 in the hospital. He currently weighs 16kgs. Click here to see a larger version of this photo of Drake.

His flipper tag number is 303 (green).

Update - 22nd October 2017 : Drake was moved down to nursery pools, he is learning to feed for himself after watching Prudie and Jewell eating fish.

Update - 30th October 2017 : Drake is gaining weight and make friends.
Update - 20th December 2017 : Drake along with Prudie, Dwight, Kitty, Rosie, Jewell and Neptune were released back into the wild at Porthtowan on 18th December 2017.
