Caroline was rescued on 13th November 2017
Caroline, female seal pup, was rescued on 13th November 2017 from Carbis Bay.

The pup arrived at the seal hospital weighing 14.5kgs with only minor wounds to her tail and front flippers. After the Sanctuary´s vet had a good listen to her lungs and checked bloods, he discovered that the pup had a high white blood count and upper respiratory infection.

Update - 13th November 2017 : Caroline is currently on medication for this and recovering in isolation. Hopefully she will feel better soon.
Update - 7th December 2017 : Caroline has sadly passed away; it is always very sad when one of the rescued pups dies but sometimes these little ones just don´t have enough antibodies and strength in them to pull through, despite the best efforts of all the Animal Care Team.
