Care Bear was rescued on 3rd October 2018
Care Bear, 5 weeks old female grey seal pup, was rescued on 3rd October 2018 from Loe Bar, Porthleven by some of the members of the Animal Care Team staff.

The pup had wounds to his rear flippers which received antibiotic treatment and were cleaned by the team.

Update - 18th October 2018 : This pup is doing very well, and ripping and eating fish already. Also started practising swimming!

Care Bear Update - 28th October 2018 : Care Bear is in the nursery pool 4 with another rescued seal pup called Pollurrian, for her next stage rehabilitation and to learn how to compete for fish during feeding time. She currently weighs 22.5kgs.

Care Bear´s flipper ID tag number is 306 (red).

Update - 26th November 2018 : Care Bear is in the convalescent pool. She currently weighs 23kgs.

Update - 1st January 2019 : Care Bear was returned to the wild on 27th December 2018 at Porthtowan beach along with other rescued seal pups, Terminator, Blondie, David Bowie, Wham and Polurrian.
