Brian May was rescued on 2nd November 2018
Brian May, male seal pup, was rescued on 2nd November 2018 from Trevellas Porth beach near St Agnes by some of members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) Medics.

He was found veary weak and suffering from an upper respiratory infection. Also had superficial wounds on flippers. Weighed 13kgs.

Brian May in the hospital on 23rd November 2018. Update - 25th November 2018 : The vet prescribed the pup with antibiotics and it took 10 days before any improvement was seen.

This photo of Brian May was taken on 23rd November 2018 on the hospital, the next day he was moved down to the outside pool for the next stage of rehabilitation.

His flipper tag ID number is 316 (red).

Update - 1st January 2019 : Brian May has completed his rehabilitation and was returned to the wild on 28th December 2018 at Porthtowan beach along with other rescued seal pups, Freddie Mercury, Madonna, Footloose, He-Man and Pepsi.
