Bongo was rescued on 28th August 2017
Bongo, one year old female common seal, was re-rescued on 28th August 2017 from the beach at Northcott Mouth in Bude, after being released back to the wild earlier this year by the RSPCA at West Hatch.

Members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue team had been re-locating Bongo due to public disturbance.

Bongo is now safely at the seal sanctuary for a month or so in the nursery pool. She currently weighs 27kgs. Her flipper tag number is 80218 (orange).
Bongo Update - 28th September 2017 : Bongo was moved to Hunstanton SEA LIFE Sanctuary in Norfolk on 16th September 2017 to continue her rehabilitation.

Update - 14th October 2017 : Bongo was released back into the wild on 9th October 2017 on the beach at Hunstanton.
