Blondie was rescued on 17th October 2018
Blondie, 4 weeks old female grey seal pup, was rescued on 17th October 2018 from Portheras Cove, Pendeen, by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) Medics.

This pup was found malnourished.

Blondie Update - 28th October 2018 : Blondie is still in the hospital. She currently weighs 15kgs. As soon as Blondie comes off treatment and starts feeding for herself, she can be moved down to the outside nursery pools for the next stage of rehabilitation.

Blondie´s flipper ID tag number is 310 (red).

Update - 25th November 2018 : Blondie is in convalescent pool for her next stage of rehabilitation and to learn how to compete for fish with other seals before being returned to the wild in the coming months. She currently weighs 23kgs.

Update - 1st January 2019 : Blondie was returned to the wild on 27th December 2018 at Porthtowan beach along with other rescued seal pups, Terminator, Wham, David Bowie, Care Bears and Polurrian.
