Europa was rescued on 4th January 2014

Location of Rescue : Port Gaverne
Age at Rescue : 6 weeks old
Reason for Rescue : The pup was found to be malnourished and had a scratch on her eye.
The seal pup was taken to the British Divers Marine Life Rescue´s (BDMLR) temporary seal holding facility until a pen was available in the hospital at Gweek.

A few days later Europa was transferred to the Cornish Seal Sanctuary and put straight into the nursery pools for rehabilitation.

Update - 20th January 2014 : Europa is currently in the outside nursery pool and will be moved into the convalescent pool soon.

Europa along with Taurus, IO, Gemini and Quasar were released back into the wild on 22nd May 2014 at Gwithian.
