Age at Rescue : 6 weeks old
Reason for Rescue : The pup was found to be alone and very cold on the beach. Also had respiratory infection.

The seal pup was taken to the British Divers Marine Life Rescue´s (BDMLR) temporary seal holding facility until a pen was available in the hospital at Gweek. The pup has been named Callisto. A few days later Callisto was transferred to the Cornish Seal Sanctuary and put straight into the nursery pools for rehabilitation.

Update - 20th January 2014 : Callisto has been moved to the convalescent pool.
Callisto´s flipper tag number is 234 (orange).

Update - 24th May 2014 :
Callisto along with Rocket, Oberon and Bianca were released back into the wild on 23rd May 2014 at Gunwalloe.
