Location of Rescue : Loe Bar near Helston

Age at time of Rescue : Two months old

Reason for Rescue : The pup was found to have deep wounds to his shoulder and an eye infection.

The pup was rescued by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) team and transported to the Seal Sanctuary for treatment.
Professor Brian
Upon arrival at the Cornish Seal Sanctuary´s hospital, he was put into isolation pen where a full clinical assessment was carried out by members of the Animal Care Team. He has been prescribed antibiotics for his eye infection and wounds to his body. The pup was named after Brian Cox.
Professor Brian Update - 24th February 2014 : Professor Brian is now in the convalescent pool where he must learn to fight for his fish ready for his return to the wild.
