Batman was rescued on 25th December 2014
Batman, 8 weeks old male grey seal pup, was rescued from the beach at Porthmeor on Christmas Day by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) team.

He was found to be malnourished.

Batman Update - 1st January 2015 : Batman is in the hospital´s isolation pen number 3, he currently weighs 16.5kgs.

Update - 12th January 2015 : Batman is now in the outside nursery pool for his next stage of rehabilitation.

His flipper tag number is 067 (yellow).
Update - 31st March 2015 : Batman is currently in the convalescent pool and putting on lots of weight.

Update - 12th April 2015 : Batman was released back into the wild along with Stardust, Iceman, Felix, Mystique, She-Ra and Echo on 8th April 2015 at Gwithian.

Update - 1st May 2015 : Batman was spotted at a local haul-out along the north coast of Cornwall by a member of the Cornwall Seal Group on 21st April 2015.
